isn't it? Actually, besides posing for this picture, he is usually running
around the shop like a madman or coding a new customer's web work.

MadHatter McGinnis was born in the tiny town of Mulvane, Kansas in 1980.

Growing up around computers and other electronic devices, he quickly grew
to love them. Even as early as four years old, he was punching in code to
make primitive ASCII graphics with the family TRS-80 computer and setting
high scores in video games on the Atari 2600. A few years later, he became a
pioneer of oldschool gaming, becoming completely submersed in the Nintendo Entertainment System and Amiga 1000. This constant use of both machines was surely a factor in what drove Hatter to become what he is today:

A big nerd.

From that point on, he attempted to master whatever electronic device he could
get his hands on. He was there at the explosion of telnet and BBS usage before the
modern internet, surfed the first parts of the web as they emerged, studied
artificial musical instruments and video devices in his father's studio as he grew
up, built and maintained several computers while repairing others for friends,
designed web pages by typing in relentless code before graphical editors were created, and more... and he enjoyed every last second of it.

In high school, he was expelled for exposing security faults in the new computer
and climate system and was offered another chance the next year if he fixed
these problems. He did, and upon going back the next year, facing criminal-like
treatment from the faculty, he decided to go directly to the University of Kansas
instead. In the end, rather than finish out his college degree, he decided to get
ahead of the game and start applying his talents and knowledge before the
information technology industry folded in on itself with a surge of textbook-only,
degree-toting, trained "professionals."

Today, he continues to learn as much as he can about this changing industry
and strives to be a great artist and marketing guru. He knows he's not the best
in the world at what he does, but the heart he puts into it gives him a serious edge.
